Farewell Functions in JNV, Karimnagar

Today the Vidyalaya arranged a farewell to Smt. Vandana Pawar, music teacher. She worked for nearly 23 years here and has now been transferred to JNV, Kagaj Nagar. In the absence of the Principal, the vice-principal presided over the function. Shri Vittal Rao, PGT Biology & Sr. Teacher also shared the dais. Of late farewell programmes have lost their sheen in the Vidyalaya. The situation is unlikely to improve in the months to come. On one  or two or occasions, there were doubts about organising a farewell programme. One of the teachers said no to to arranging a farewell for him.. For all others, despite the lingering doubts, the farewell functions were arranged somehow. I have observed changes even in the way the circulars are written to communicate the organisation of the farewell programme. The matter of fact tone is clearly visible. Dear friends, We work in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya which are considered premier educational institutions in the field of secondary and senior secondary education in our country. As educational institutions, what do we stand for? What are we excelling in which the other educational institutions have failed to achieve? The motto of our organisation 'Navodya Vidyalaya Samiti' is to provide 'quality education' to rural talented children predominantly, to work for the all round development of the children, to achieve quality results in the CBSE exams.
